The Garden’s Secret Language 8x10

​The Garden’s Secret Language is a celebration of the luminous, rhythmic energy found in the natural world at the first break of light. This work of Lyrical Abstraction captures the fleeting transition of a garden awakening—a moment where the deep, grounded greens of the earth meet the radiant glow of a new morning.

​The palette for this piece was inspired by the Camellia in bloom. Verdant leaves, vibrant color petals. Shades float across the canvas like petals caught in a breeze, while pops of lemon yellow act as concentrated bursts of sunlight filtering through the canopy.

Translucent washes are interrupted by bolder, textured marks to create depth and mimic the complex and beautiful patterns of a garden in a state of constant becoming. It is an invitation to lean in and listen to the silent, colorful dialogue of the early hour.
